A lovely show of fall colors at Stonebridge Estates!

Updated: Sep 16, 2019

Wow, where does the time go? VDLA’s landscape at Stonebridge Estates still looks great showing its fall colors more than 10 years after installation! It’s satisfying to see how wonderful the mature landscape looks, especially on a rainy fall day like yesterday when the colors were so vibrant after the rain.

VDLA’s landscape at Stonebridge Estates is looking great showing its fall colors more than 10 years after installation!

Over a decade ago, VDLA provided master planning, landscape architectural design, construction documents and construction administration services for the master planned community of Stonebridge Estates (formerly Rancho Encantada) near the Scripps Ranch area of San Diego. The development includes over 900 homes, HOA Slopes, native slope restoration and mitigation areas, parks, parkways and neighborhood and entry monuments..

Crape Myrtles, Liquidambars and Sycamores line Stonebridge Parkway with their fall display. In the background the ornamental plantings and native slope restoration (à la Wayne Tyson) blend in with the undeveloped coastal sage scrub.

VDLA absolutely loves to serve the communities in which we live, work and play. At Stonebridge Estates we used various drought-resistant and native plants in our planting plans and provided the 2,658-acre site with an irrigation master plan and state of the art equipment in the design. Southern California has been the home of our firm for over 46 years and we continue to design and plan with the future in mind, remembering that water conservation is key on all of our projects.

Stonebridge Estates is one of the many master planned communities we've had the pleasure to work on. Interested to know more about this project and others like it? CLICK HERE.
