VDLA conducted a comprehensive irrigation system audit for the San Elijo Hills community, providing a detailed conditions assessment report to guide system improvements. This audit evaluated the functionality of all 52 controllers, identified inefficiencies, and outlined recommendations for distribution improvements, equipment upgrades, and phased construction planning. Based on these findings, VDLA facilitated the conversion of the existing central control system to smart, weather-based controllers to enhance water efficiency. Additionally, VDLA collaborated with the board, landscape committee, and maintenance contractors to align irrigation strategies with long-term landscape management goals. As part of the project, VDLA also secured over $30,000 in water conservation rebates from agencies such as the Vallecitos Water District.
