Ocean Hills Community Irrigation Master Plan

Ocean Hills, a community development with 127 acres of irrigated landscape, benefited from the City of Oceanside’s introduction of recycled water in 2017. VDLA was engaged to create a comprehensive Irrigation Master Plan that accurately projected the landscape's water demand for both recycled and potable water sources. This plan has empowered Ocean Hills to incorporate future water costs into their long-term financial planning while improving water management efficiency through the optimized use of the central control system. The plan includes detailed mapping of Points of Connection (POC) and irrigation controllers, with updates as field corrections are implemented. Additionally, the Master Plan continues to guide design and construction efforts, further integrating recycled water infrastructure to ensure a sustainable and cost-effective irrigation system for the community.
