Jim Venable Exchange Club Park

VDLA was retained by ValleyWide Recreation and Park District to provide a comprehensive park improvement plan based on an approved Conceptual Plan. The park is located on a parcel adjacent to a Hemet Unified School District Early Childhood Development facility. There are two lighted tennis courts, four lighted pickle ball courts, two lawn volleyball courts, two basketball half courts, six horseshoe pits, one play structure for each of 2-5 age group and one 5-12 age group, swings sets, and fitness equipment along with a pre-fabricated restroom building with drinking fountains, three shade structures with picnic tables, bike racks and a bicycle repair station. VDLA provided the layout of all the elements as requested by ValleyWide and also provided irrigation and planting design to enhance the park user experience. VDLA also coordinated with the project civil engineer to ensure ADA accessibility and positive drainage throughout the park site.
