VDLA, as prime consultant to the County of San Diego, provided landscape architectural design and construction documents for a 2-acre, unimproved section of Felicita County Park. The park has a natural theme and is adjacent to existing mature oak trees and a natural creek. Native plantings were used throughout all non-turf areas. The site improvements include play areas, a shade pavilion and stage, picnic areas, and a nature trail. Interpretive signage was developed for water quality best management practices, the archaeological heritage of the site, and the local context.
