VDLA was repeatedly awarded the As-Needed Landscape Architect Services contract with the San Diego Unified School District from 2001 to 2015. The As-Needed contract was utilized to support the District with their Prop. S and Prop. Z funds to repair, renovate, and revitalize district and charter schools. During the contract period, VDLA provided design services for more than 50 school facilities throughout the district. Improvements at these sites included upgrades to courtyards, walkways, libraries, streetscapes, and common area landscapes as well as new construction of soccer, football, and baseball fields.
