The Muse at Torrey Pines

VDLA was contracted to design the exterior landscaping for The Muse at Torrey Pines, a 186,000 sf life science campus in San Diego, CA. This visionary project breaks free from conventional office spaces by opening previously existing walls and inviting the outdoors in, fostering a harmonious relationship with the stunning Torrey Pines landscape. Existing turfgrass was replaced with native, drought-tolerant plantings, resulting in increased water conservation. In addition, a drip irrigation system was implemented, further increasing water efficiency. Outdoor programming at The Muse includes outdoor walking trails, art installations, and outdoor games to foster an active and engaged campus environment. The fusion of innovation and nature at The Muse results in a completely unique workplace.
